Founded over four decades ago in the quaint town of Hillsboro, Texas, Nick's Bricks Masonry & Stone sprang from the youthful inspiration of seeing bricklayers at work, transforming raw materials into a piece of art. This encounter not only carved out a career path for Nick, then a high school junior, but it also embedded a lifelong passion for masonry that drove him to establish a legacy company known for quality and expertise.

 The Foundation: Early Beginnings

​

  After completing high school, Nick wasted no time in deepening his knowledge and skills within the trade. By enrolling in an accredited apprenticeship program, he set the groundwork for what would become a challenging yet satisfying career in masonry. Learning from experienced journeymen, Nick honed his craft—beginning with the basics of mixing mortar and hauling bricks, before advancing to work under others as a skilled mason and later, a foreman.

Shaping the Future: Teaching and Growing Expertise

Nick's Bricks took form when Nick then ventured into teaching masonry at Austin Community College, sharing his accumulated expertise with aspiring craftsmen. However, the strong call to entrepreneurship lead Nick back to focusing on running his own company by 1993, and by 1996, he solidified the business with his wife, Evelyn, at his side. Together, they built a partnership as resilient and enduring as the structures Nick’s Bricks is known for.

With continual advancement in mind, Nick's Bricks Masonry & Stone embraced the Masonry Staining Certification as a Masonry Cosmetics Certified Contractor, adding a new dimension to the services offered to clients.

Grounded firmly in the Austin area since 1976, Nick’s Bricks has nurtured long-standing relationships with a network of suppliers, masons, architects, general contractors, property managers, and both commercial and residential owners. They stand as pillars of the community, providing services that are both needed and cherished, all the while maintaining the artistic passion that sparked Nick's ambition on that  summer day in 1973.
